Kisii County Governor James Ongwae has hailed Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati and Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka following their firm stand to oppose the controversial Finance Bill 2018.
Ongwae said Mr Arati and Onyonka are heroes from the Gusii community who can't be ignored.
"As a community, we should celebrate the firm stand of the sons of the soil (Arati and Onyonka) on the newly passed Finance Bill 2018 which will see Kenyans paying more on fuel. The two legislators represented the true stand of the Gusii community," he said.
Ongwae said MPs from the Gusii region who boycotted the special Parliament sitting on Thursday last week should not be trusted in 2022 because they are greedy.
"It is time the electorates should know the kind of leaders they elected in 2017. MPs from the Gusii region who didn't oppose the Finance Bill 2018 are a disgrace to the community and must not be re-lected in 2022," he said.
