Machakos Women Representative Joyce Kamene Kasimbi has slammed her critics on social media.

In a video posted on her Facebook page, Saturday Kamene warned those criticising her on social media to get their facts right.

She said that there are people who have been attacking her, questioning how she uses her National Government Affirmative Action kitty stating that they should use the right channel.

She noted that she has been transparent enough and anyone with doubts should visit her office for answers instead of feeding people with lies.

She said elected leaders should be given time to do their jobs.

"Those on social media tarnishing leaders names on Facebook should desist. They should give us ample time to serve the people," said the Machakos Woman Rep.

"I love transparency and I have been transparent about how I do things and also my office is open for anyone with questions regarding the use of the NGAAF kitty," she added.

Last week a heated debate erupted on Whatsapp groups about the issue as to why some women groups had not received Sh200,000 given to them.

She clarified that every ward got Sh200,000 and it was up to the group members to decide on how to use the money.
