Top Kenyan investigative journalist Dennis Onsarigo has announced his exit from mainstream media after 11 years of active journalism.
Through his Twitter account, the soft-spoken Onsarigo said it is time to hang the boots.
"Exiting the stage after 11 years of active journalism.Catch my story tomorrow morning at 7:30 @KTNKenya,"wrote Onsarigo.
The renowned investigative journalist, however, clarified that his famous ‘Case Files’ news features series will continue being produced and aired.
"The 1.2M lovers of #Casefiles, we are not done yet, we won’t end the show just yet! All the best good people!!.. You can be anything under the sun, you are the sun!" added Onsarigo.
According to reliable sources, Onsarigo is headed to the public service, having landed a job at the County Government of Taita Taveta.
He made a name by putting together several investigative pieces, such as the events surrounding the death of prominent Nairobi businessman Jacob Juma.
