It was an all free drama for Eldoret town residents as prostitutes come to the rescue of a 'colleague' who raised distress call after a client allegedly failed to pay for services offered.
The incident which happened on Friday outside the iconic Paradise pub attracted curious onlookers as dozens of twilight girls roughed a youthful man who had just descended from 'upstairs' where the business is usually transacted.
However, what shocked onlookers even more is the fact that the man paid as agreed but according to the lady, she offered more than the expected.
"He went for several rounds but only paid for a single. This is business and he must pay," shouted the twilight girl amid shouts and insults from other rowdy girls.
According to witnesses' accounts, the lady on focus started shouting from upstairs before others responded to her call.
"The lady began shouting at the man before other twilight girls waiting on the entrance responded," narrated an M-Pesa attendant.
Her sentiments were also echoed by a taxi driver who said such scenes were common.
"Paradise if full of dramas, I pity men seeking services here," said the taxi driver who sought to remain anonymous.
Cases of violent scenes involving prostitutes and male clients are steadily on the rise in Eldoret town.
On boxing day, another man escaped by a whisker after commercial sex workers went after him for failing to pay for services.
It took the efforts of local bodaboda operators to rescue the man who would have otherwise get stripped by angry prostitutes operating at Paradise pub.
The twin incidents come at a time that the County government of Uasin Gishu has raised concern on the influx of prostitutes to the town, especially during the harvesting season.
