Ugly scenes were witnessed on Monday in Bomet County when a section of lawmakers walked out of a function presided over by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to the leaders, area Governor Joyce Laboso was ignoring them.
The lawmakers stated that they were not given a chance to air their grievances before the president who was on a tour in Rift Valley.
Kenyatta was in Bomet to officially open the Lake Region Economic Block Investment Conference.
Accompanied by his deputy William Ruto, he launched new machines at the Sotik KCC Plant.
In protest, seven lawmakers walked out of the event alongside some Bomet Members of the County Assembly.
The leaders later held a rally in Bomet town to air their grievances.

Governor Laboso is yet to comment on the accusations levelled against her.
