Former Miss Kisumu Sheila Akinyi Udida has been nominated for the 2019 edition of the Miss Heritage International.

Ms Udida who just a few months ago handed over her crown to 22-year old Veronica Akinyi, went to Facebook to celebrate the nomination thanking her fans for the overwhelming support. 

She went ahead to urge her fans and supporters to vote for her massively for Miss Heritage International contest, so that she could bring home the Award when the gala is held on February 12, 2019, in Singapore.

“Friends, your support in my journey as a model has been tremendous. No words can begin to capture my depth of gratitude. Once again I humbly request you to help us bag Miss Heritage International title. Let’s bring it home,” urged the model.

In order to be crowned the winner, the Kenyan nominee will have to beat fifteen other contestants from Angola, Botswana, Malaysia, DRC, Russia, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, India, Singapore, Nigeria, Philippines, Haiti and Nepal.

Ms Udida was crowned Miss Kisumu County in 2016 during an event held at the Acacia Premier Hotel. 

The then 19-year- old Udida was second-year Student at the Maseno University, pursuing a Bachelors Degree in International Relations.
