On Tuesday while seeking court orders to detain three suspects arrested in Mandera town in connection to the attack, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji through Prosecution Counsel Harisson Kiarie, said detectives have focused their investigation on Garissa, Wajir, and Isiolo.

He also said that detectives are following leads that will help in the arrest of suspects some whom he claimed are in Somalia.

According to the DPP,  forensic examination of the suspect's mobile phones and social media pages show that they have strong connections in Somalia.

"The investigation is wide and complex with focus now being extended to Somalia in hunt for suspects," the DPP told Milimani Chief Magistrate Peter Ooko.

Two suspects have so far been charged in connection to the Dusit attack.

Last week, Sakina Abdalla, the mother of slain Dusit 'mastermind' Ali Salim Gichunge was charged with abetting the attack.

Sophia Mbogo, a bank manager with Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) has also been charged with aiding the attack.

Mbogo is accused of failing to report suspicious transactions.

According to detectives, Sh34.7 million was used to fund the Dusit terror attack.
