Speaking on AM Live early Tuesday, the Ford-Kenya deputy party leader further cautioned Moi against equating himself to Deputy President William Ruto whom he is set to face in the race.

He termed the lawmaker ‘nothing politically’, saying that he lacks the numbers and popularity to clinch the post, unlike Ruto whom, he said, is well equipped.

According to Khalwale, Moi would wander around an entire village in the Western province without being recognized if he were to land unannounced, unlike Ruto who would attract huge crowds in a similar situation.

‘’Gideon is nothing politically. Even if he were to alight from a matatu in a village in Western, he would go around the place without being recognized by anyone,’’ said Khalwale.

‘’Ruto, on the other hand, would get himself surrounded by crowds immediately after he lands,’’ he added.

The two leaders have been engaging in a political supremacy duel lately, one that saw the younger Moi accused of blocking Ruto’s attempt to meet retired President Daniel Moi.

Ruto was forced to leave without meeting the former head of state after hours of waiting.
