Former Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire has expressed his disappointment following claims that MPs accepted a bribe to throw out a sugar report that was tabled in Parliament on Thursday last week.
Bosire said MPs should be ashamed for accepting a bribe instead of representing the electorate's interest.
"It is shameful that Kenyans elected leaders last year and sent them to Parliament to fill their stomachs. The MPs who were bribed to throw out the sugar report must be arrested to face prosecution," he said.
He condemned the MPs for being gluttonous and pushing aside Kenyans' interests.
Bosire who was speaking in his former constituency on Monday called on EACC and DPP to move with speed and prosecute the MPs who engaged in corruption.
"MPs should stop frustrating President Uhuru Kenyatta in the fight against impunity in the country. It is time EACC and the DPP to prosecute the MPs who accepted bribe since no one is above the law," he added.
The ODM party Treasurer regretted that the electorates voted for failures who are only interested in embezzling public funds instead of using the funds to initiate and fund projects in deep villages to boost the lives of Kenyans.
