The self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) General Miguna Miguna in a tweet said that the two leaders should intensify their fight against President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant challenged DP Ruto and Mr Murkomen to leave Jubilee party and join NRM.

“I urge William Ruto, Kipchumba Murkomen and other discontented despots to fight President Uhuru Kenyatta even more viciously. Bring down the house. Free yourselves from 55 years of neocolonialism. After destroying the brutal Jubilee Party, surrender to the REVOLUTIONARY FORCES,” said Miguna.

This comes at a time when there is disagreement within the Jubilee Party over the Mau Forest evictions as Murkomen urges the government not to evict residents.

The Jubilee Party leadership has however reiterated that the government will continue with evictions as it seeks to save the Mau.

Here are reactions from Garissa residents following Miguna’s tweet:

“Miguna wants the house of Jubilee to fall. That will never happen. Jubilee is strong and it would take more than Ruto or Murkomen to bring it down,” said Amina Yusuf.

“I agree with Miguna, Ruto and Murkomen should leave Jubilee and join NRM. They would be more effective in their duties under Miguna,” said Muktar Hassan.

“Miguna, Ruto and Murkomen working together, they would bring a positive change into this country,” said Ahmed Noor.

“Ruto is firmly in Jubilee. He can’t risk joining Miguna and losing his support in 2022 when he wants to be the next president,” said Abdiwahab Haji.
