Kakamega Senator Cleopa Malala now wants his Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi to reunite with opposition leader Raila Odinga.
This comes at a time when the two seem distant as a result of the ongoing troubles within the opposition’s National Super Alliance (NASA) which housed them in the previous election.
Speaking on Radio Citizen’s ‘Pata Shika’ Wednesday night, Malala who has repeatedly questioned Mudavadi’s leadership noted that the Former Deputy Premier’s political future lies in Odinga’s hands.
He advised him to rally behind the veteran politician in order to take over Raila’s support base upon his nearing retiring from politics, hence secure his political future.
"Raila remains a nationaly influential leader and Mudavadi should remain behind him and inherit his support base upon his nearing exit,’’ said Malala.
The lawmaker who was elected on the ANC ticket has since moved over, heavily leaning towards Raila’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party and earning himself the ‘rebel’ tag.
Also in the bracket is his Vihiga counterpart George Khaniri and nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi, all of whom have openly opposed Mudavadi.
