At a function in Kereri Girls on Monday, Matiang'i said he will not spare the commissioner in the war against lazy government workers working under his ministry.

"If Kigochi will not arrest cartels  especially those grabbing public lands and take them to court, I will not hesitate to sack him. Government representatives more so those working under the ministry of Interior must be on high alert in delivering," he said.

He said land grabbers must not be condoned to continue grabbing lands.

"Cartels who have grabbed public lands to build big houses can't be allowed while I am serving in office as the interior Cs. It is high time Kigochi must work around the clock with other officials to nab cartels," he stated.

Matiang'i maintained that he will not succumb to any threats from cartels.

"I am ready to die while defending Kenyans. Cartels who think they can threaten me are just day dreaming," he added.
