Joey landed on the lucrative radio deal a few weeks ago with the American based radio station after she parted ways with the Royal  Media-owned station Citizen TV.

The TV queen took to social media to update her fans on the good news that this time she will be based in her motherland and not in the Washington DC as many expected.

She also thanked all those who were in touch with her.

"Guys, I'm not moving, I'm a correspondent. I'll be based in Nairobi. But thanks to the people who only contacted me thinking I was moving. Y'all is my real friends,'' she posted.

She also urged her fans to continue being cooperative as her new job entails more of seeking people's opinion and reporting.

"I will always be contacting you for your opinions. No doubt. That will not change. Hope you'll be as accommodating as you have been lately. Thank you." she added.

VOA is where Joey started her career as a journalist.

She was an intern at the radio station while she was in college studying Communications and Business Management in the United States, and this time she will be heading back home.
