A man is fighting for his life in hospital after he consumed poison.
The incident happened on Sunday in Omokorindo village, Nyamira County.
Thomas Magato consumed poison after he busted his wife, Veronica Bosibori in the act with another man in the bush.
“Veronica left home with a jerrican to fetch water from a spring. She took too long to return.
"Her husband followed her only to find the jerrican abandoned. He traced her into a bush where he found her naked having sex with another man,” said Abel Mogendi.
Mogendi said Magato chased after the man but, failed to catch up with him and when he returned home, he took poison.
Area assistant chief, Isaiah Marando said the man was rushed to Nyamira County hospital by his neighbors where he is currently admitted.
“The man could be a past tense by now. He should thank his neighbors who took him to hospital. His wife has since gone into hiding after she was caught doing bad manners,” he said.
He urged married couples to be faithful in marriage.
