Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i's decision to boycott Gusii leader unity meeting on Friday has landed him in trouble.
An elected MCA from the Gusii region has exposed Matiang'i.
Samuel Angasa, the Boochi Borabu MCA said Matiang'i is 'selfish' after be boycotted the crucial meeting.
"Word as it is Matiang'i was one of the top leaders who were invited for the important meeting. His absence is a clear indication that he is egocentric only wants to get fame in the community alone," he said.
Mr Angasa urged leaders who attended the meeting to ignore Matiang'i.
"Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama and James Ongwae of Kisii dedicated their time to attend the meeting but, Matiang'i due to his ego missed the meeting. It is high time members of the community to ignore and skip his events in the Gusii region completely," said the furious ward representative.
He insisted that the Cabinet Secretary will not penetrate in the community politics if he will continue ignoring invitations from other leaders.
The MCA lauded a section of leaders who attended the meeting adding that the community leadership is at good hands.
