Speaking during the National Prayer Breakfast at Safari Park Hotel on Thursday, the DP fired shots at Raila, donating him for the vacant British prime minister position.

Speaking on Saturday, Aladwa who is a close ally of Raila, read malice in the remarks, terming them a direct political attack on Raila. The vocal MP argued that the DP's statements were ill-advised and done at the wrong place.

He took issue with the DP for allegedly turning the prayer meeting into a field to hurl abuses at people he considers his enemies, arguing that it made the function lose its meaning.

"Huwezi enda maombi uanze kutukana watu. Yeye watu walienda maombi lakini akaona Raila hayuko akaona atamchapa nyundo (You can't go to a prayer function and start hurling insults at people. People went for prayers but he took advantage of Raila's absence to attack him)," said Aladwa.

The MP was speaking on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi show on Saturday, where he further questioned how the DP found his way to the podium.

Aladwa claimed that the DP's name was not anywhere in the function's programme, wondering how he made his way to the podium to make his speech.

He opined that this could be part of a bigger plan that had been put in place to tame the DP.

"Katika program Ruto hakuwa popote na haiwezi kuwa alisahaulika. Lazima kuna kitu inaendelea (Ruto's name was nowhere in the program. There must be a reason for that as he cannot have been forgotten)," he added.
