Speaking on during the National Prayer Breakfast in Nairobi on Thursday, Uhuru said that Kenyans have been doing a lot of talking but not backing it with action in fighting graft.

However, speaking on Tuesday, the former National Assembly Minority Whip argued that Uhuru is the one to blame, after failing to include actions in his war declaration on graft.

"I have an issue with what Uhuru said, that we talk without action; it is Uhuru who talks without action. He should talk the talk but also walk the talk," he said on NTV's AM live.

This follows Uhuru's numerous threats to the corrupt, repeatedly warning that his leadership will deal with whoever if found culpable of stealing public resources.

However, no major convictions have been seen so far, with more scandal revelations being made almost on a weekly basis most associated with top state officials.

On his side, Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot bashed Kenyans for ranking politicians as the leading corrupt figures, saying that statistics indicate otherwise.

"Politicians, the active ones, are only 400 out of over 40 million Kenyans, for corruption to thrive, the way it has, it means that the rest of Kenyans are probably more complacent than politicians," said the youthful lawmaker.
