Speaking during the homecoming ceremony of Muigai Wa Njoroge on Sunday evening at Thika, the former county boss expressed his discontentment with the Jubilee administration for failing Kenyans in matters fighting corruption.

Speaking on Citizen TV, the former Kiambu County boss reiterated that he regrets why Mount Kenya politicians voted for some leaders who are corrupt.

He warned that if stringent measures are not taken to curb corruption, Kenyans will institute the power of citizen arrest to all perpetrators of corruption.

"If Uhuru cannot arrest the corrupt leaders, he should tell us. It is his government. We shall march to their offices and arrest them ourselves," Kabogo warned.

"We are tired of showing up to vote without benefiting from it, we did not vote for Uhuru’s government so that they could steal from us," he added.

Kabogo's stiff warning to President Uhuru comes at a time when the fight against corruption is in top gear.

The purge of graft, however, has sharply divided the ruling coalition as some factions within Jubilee feel that the war is selectively targeting Deputy President William Ruto.
