Balala has faulted the local daily for claiming that his homes were raided in the ongoing probe into the award of Sh100 million tenders within his office.

The CS has earlier on noted that his legal team was working on the matter before he showed the letter of the case he has filed at the Court.

The local daily reported that the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) sleuths had visited the homes of the CS and recovered crucial documents as the investigation into the case continue.

It reported that some of the properties raided are located in Nairobi, Mombasa and Vipingi in Kilifi.

Balala was allegedly being investigated for single-sourcing the tender from a local company.

The tendering came after he met the management of the firm during an expo at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre in Nairobi.

“No raids have taken place at my house as claimed by The Standard Newspaper today, the journalist was aware prior to publishing the report of the same. My legal team is handling the matter,” he Tweeted hours after the publication.
