The Kenyan Champions defeated Zamalek 4-2 in the opening Group D match while the Angolan side fell 2-1 to Hussein Dey.

Shakava is, however, expecting a tough outing against the West African side who he believes are desperate for a positive result in this game.

"It is not an easy match, playing away has always been tough but that does not mean we cannot come back home with a win. Yes, we understand we are going to play a good team, but we are up to the task," he said.

The Kenyan champions are scheduled to leave the country Tuesday morning for the Angolan capital ahead of their second group game to be played at the Estádio 11 de Novembro.

"Preparations on our side have been good, and we know what we are going for. The win against Zamalek gave us much-needed confidence, but the campaign has just begun, it is all about consistency," he added.

Zamalek will be at home against Hussein Dey in the other Group D game.

Gor Mahia will be without the suspended duo of Jacques Tuyisenge and defender Philemon “Mbish” Otieno who have accumulated two yellow cards in the course of the competition and are therefore ineligible for this match.
