Mombasa residents and Kenyans at large, are all used to most recent political teams, 'Tanga Tanga' and 'Kieleweke'. However, another team has emerged in Mombasa County. The team dubbed 'Team Bishop Wafula' is meant to stand in solidarity with the Bishop after he parted ways with Pastor Ng'ang'a.

The team has already printed t-shirts bearing their log, which is Bishop Wafula's newly founded church, Shalom Miracle Church.

If you spotted them in town on Sunday, one could think there was a political rally around where Bishop Wafula was vying for an elective position.

The Bishop left Neno Evangelism Church a few weeks ago after he separated with its founder Pastor James Ng'ang'a.

Pastor Ng'ang'a rebuked his Bishops for what he alleged to be not respecting his wife. He had said he was to close down some of the church branches if the Bishops disobeyed him.

This made Bishop Wafula ditch him before he opened a new church. Their separation is now leading to rising of political-like groups in the church, which might indicate politics is rooting even in churches.
