This follows a recent faceoff between Governor Cornell Rasanga and the 30 lawmakers over the supplementary budget.

Last month, they rejected his budget proposal which sought to reduce a portion of their Sh30 million ward fund.

The members faulted the county chief for reducing the budget by Sh900 million, forcing him to reinstate the fund.

"It does not meet the Public Finance Management Act,” they cited during the rejection, reports the Standard.

And on Thursday, they finally gave the new proposal a clean bill of health.

This is after the Governor also scrapped his Sh600 million budget allocated to cement his legacy as he heads out of power.

He has sought to embark on a series od road constructions across the county to make a name for himself, being on his second and constitutional final term.

The allocation was removed on Tuesday after the members noted that such projects are under the jurisdiction of the higher national government.

The members said that the new projects were not in the 2017/2018 budget and could not, therefore, be implemented.
