Revolution has been a topic of discussion recently in the country, especially after activist Boniface Mwangi was briefly arrested this week for being part of the people planning a revolution.

Renown political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi, however, holds the opinion that there will be no revolution any time soon until several factors change.

"There will be no revolution, the revolution has been postponed. The revolution will only happen when Raila is ready," Professor Mutahi Ngunyi said.

According to the analyst, the people currently seen to be heading revolution are mere pretenders who are paid to do so.

According to him, those at the frontline use the purported revolution for their own selfish means, a move that will not yield meaningful results.

"The paper tiger revolutionaries doing cut walks in the police stations are just cartoons. If a revolution hit them on their head, they would not even recognize it. These fellows have no course or conviction," Mutahi said.

"After every demonstration, they are paid, given a soda and bus fare. This is true from their paper tiger leaders to the demonstrators themselves. They are just doing 'kibarua'(casual labour) , don't be cheated.

"This is why one day they are supporting the revolution and the next day they are stoning the revolution depending on who is paying them," Mutahi Ngunyi added.
