Winnie Odinga, the last born daughter to opposition chief Raila Odinga, resurfaced yet again on Friday morning in the company of her father, the fourth appearance in as many months.
In recent weeks, Ms Odinga has been accompanying Raila to official expeditions even as her role within the African Union High Representative to Infrastructural Development remains a mystery.
At NEPAD- Kenya offices, Mr Odinga met officials where he outlined his plans in the new mandate given to him by the African Union in October 2018.
"This morning we hosted High Representative to Infrastructural Development Hon Raila Odinga. He was introduced to National Governing Council and the Secretariat.
"He was pleased to have us as official infrastructural development partners and vowed to work us in his plans to expand connectivity throughout Africa," a statement posted by the organisation on Facebook read.
As he addressed the gathering, the photo of Winnie Odinga resurfaced further giving a clue that she could be serving as Mr Odinga's Personal Secretary at the AU offices.
Last year, Winnie was also in the picture when Raila visited South Africa in his official capacity in November and would also emerge taking notes at Addis Ababa, where Raila had attended Head of States meeting in his capacity as the infrastructural head.
But a senior ODM lawyer, who did not wish to be mentioned, said Winnie does not work with the AU. He could however not explain circumstances under which she accompanies Raila to an official meeting.
"What I can guarantee you is that she's not an employee of AU or her father. That's a fact. I don't think there is anything wrong to accompany someone to an official meeting," he claimed.
When President Barack Obama visited Kenya in July last year, Winnie was among a few people from Raila's team that had an opportunity to meet the former US president.
