This follows pledges by British Premier Theresa May who visited the nation recently, promising to among others, help the nation in the fight against graft and secure tax- free movement of Kenyan goods into the British market.

However, speaking on KBC English Service Wednesday morning, Weda noted that Britain’s move to strengthen its ties with the nation is not in good faith but in retaliation.

He noted that the European country is turning Kenya into its battleground against China which enjoys a better relationship with Kenya, in a bid to reclaim its lost dominance of the nation.

‘’Britain has realized that she has lost her old relationship with Kenya and her space has since been taken by China and is, therefore, only trying to fight China out and reclaim the old relationship,’’ advised Weda.

‘’This is the reason why she is suddenly back with all these goodies after a long silence,’’ he added.

The commentator noted that the nation must remain more allied to China for its big contribution to Kenya’s current big steps on matters development.

Weda, however, advised against the government’s growing appetite for credit, noting that it might soon get out of hand.

‘’The President should now go slow on new loans so that we can work on the old ones,’’ he added.
