A police officer working at Macalder Police Station in Nyatike is under investigation for accusations of sexually assaulting 12 under age boys in the last three months.
According to reports, the police officer lured the young boys into his house using money and movies.
Eric Okoth, a coordinator of children activities at a nonprofit organisation in Migori County has already recorded a statement at the station claiming that the young boys have been suffering for a long time.
"As investigations go on, the twelve under age boys will be taken for medical checkups this Wednesday," said Mr. Okoth as quoted by Citizen TV.
The incident attracted the attention of several leaders including the Migori County Children’s Officer John Odinya, who when speaking to Radio Ramogi insisted that the police should take stun action against anyone found victimizing children.
Migori Police Commandant Joseph Nthenge, on his part, noted that investigations are underway to put all those responsible for this inhumane act on children behind bars.
