Deputy President William Ruto seems to have conquered the political faction within Jubilee that is opposed to his 2022 presidential ambition.
The team, dubbed Kieleweke, has been crisscrossing the country lecturing the DP about his relationship with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The group claim the DP has disobeyed the head of state on his order that all 2022 politics be halted and instead leaders focus on delivering on the Big Four Agenda.
Kieleweke claims Ruto is campaigning for his 2022 bid and therefore disrespecting his boss.
However, speaking on Kameme FM on Thursday, Ruto unmasked the hypocrisy of the team Kieleweke.
“They are now pretending to teach me how to relate with the President, I have been with Uhuru from the times when no one wanted to stand with him. I stood and campaigned for him in 2002 when it was clear he could not win,” Ruto said during the morning show.
It was critical for the DP to jog the memory of Kenyans and show who these people who are pretending to be friends of Uhuru are in real sense.
In 2002, when Ruto was the only one Uhuru had to lean on, the likes of Gathoni wa Muchomba were working in a vernacular radio station that spew anti-Uhuru’s candidature propaganda.
Wamuchomba was in Kameme, then owned by Rose Kimotho, and was among those who were vocal backers of then NARC candidate Mwai Kibaki and passionately opposing Uhuru who was running on a Kanu ticket.
It is laughable that today, Wamuchomba wants Kenyans to believe she is Uhuru’s number one fan.
In the same year, Joshua Kutuny, who is today pretending to be Uhuru’s mouthpiece was still in the bushes of Kesses-based Moi University and knew nothing about Ruto’s sacrifice in order to stand with Uhuru.
The less said about Maina Kamanda’s political position in 2022, the better.
In short, these elements roaming the country telling us how Ruto is disrespecting Uhuru are nothing but political vultures and opportunists! Ruto unmasked and finished them on Thursday.
