Miguna who was forcefully deported to Canada for the second time in March following his role in ODM leader Raila Odinga’s mock swearing-in says that he is ready to return.

In a tweet on Thursday, Miguna said that his problems are coming to an end and that he will be making a grand come back after September 4.

Nairobi residents have reacted differently to Miguna’s new return date.

“Miguna should stop this drama and be ready to follow the law if he really wants to return,” Joseph Kamau, a city resident said on Friday.

Kamau said that Kenyans have moved on and do not want distractions.

“He (Miguna) is free to come back because this is his mother country,” Jane Mulei, a beautician said.

Mulei said that he should not be subjected to tough conditions since he is a Kenyan citizen by birth.

“Miguna should come back if he is ready to support the handshake, Kenyans are tired of drama and are moving on,” Moses Otieno, a student said.

He claimed that Miguna is troublemaker and would derail the handshake between President Kenyatta and Raila.

“Miguna has to tone down and stop malicious attacks against the president and opposition leader if he wants a warm reception,” Benson Macharia, a journalist, said.

Macharia said that Miguna has to adhere to immigration laws or else he will face the wrath of the government.

Miguna’s deportation to Canada drew condemnation from human rights activists across the world.

The lawyer has since been attacking Raila claiming that he is a traitor and a coward.
