Just a day to his homecoming ceremony at Gusii stadium, Don Bosco Gichana handshake chronicles continued on Thursday morning, with DP William Ruto's Karen office being his destination.
Since his release from Tanzania prison where he pleaded guilty to money laundering and fraud, Bosco has been meeting a host of leaders among them Oscar Sudi, Richard Onyonka, Mike Sonko, Moses Wetangula, Kalonzo Musyoka among others.
And a day after reconciling with his political nemesis Richard Onyonka, Bosco visited Mr. Ruto, whom he hailed for the role he played towards his release.
"Thanks for your efforts towards my release. My God bless you. DP William Ruto and your timely advice on thee way forward," he wrote.
In an interview, he conceded that both Raila Odinga and William Ruto payed part of Sh15 million that he had been fined by court.
"Yes, Raila, Ruto, Ongwae, Oscar Sudi and a host of ordinary people helped me to raise the fine," he said.
Mr. Bosco said that he will use the Friday's event to unite his followers from Nyamira and Kisii, adding that he envisaged cohesion in Kenyan politics.
The millionaire businessman will also use the homecoming as memorial service for his mother Celina Gichana who passed away in his absence in 2016.
At Karen where he held a meeting with Ruto, who is keen to dethrone Raila in the large Gusii region, Bosco was accompanied by Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi, who is his in-law as well.
