Sharon is said to have been carrying the governor's child before she was brutally murdered.

The foetus was also stabbed and killed.

Sonko said we should not 'lie to each other' over this matter.

“They should not even dream of playing with the minds of Kenyans. Let him be arrested and prosecuted. Let us not lie to each other. Obado should carry his own cross. And I am telling Governor Josphat Nanok (COG chair) not to dare issue a defense on our behalf,” Sonko said.

Nation journalist Barrack Oduor said Obado's PA lured them into an abduction gang after he promised to have a meeting with him and Sharon over the governor's position on the pregnancy.

Oduor jumped from a vehicle in which he and Sharon had been sandwiched between the abductors.

He run into a nearby homestead before reporting the matter to the police.

After the Monday incident, Sharon's body was found in a thicket badly mutilated.

Sonko is the first leader to come out publicly and straight demanding the arrest of Obado over a possible link to the murder.
