Residents of Moi's Bridge area in Soy constituency were on Wednesday left in shock after a man publicly admitted to being a night runner.
The man, Albert Momanyi told locals that he has been a night runner for about three years now. He confessed that he is the one who has been disturbing villagers all night.
Momanyi who is 27-year-old said after gaining nothing from being a night runner, he decided to reveal to the villagers and seek forgiveness so that he can be integrated back into the community.
While showcasing some of the items he has been using to carry out his evil mission, Momanyi said, "I was introduced by a friend and promised that I would obtain riches which today I have not had at all."
He said that after doing a lot of soul searching and with the help of Pastor William Ronoh, he decided to desist from the cult and joined the godliness.
"I want to thank pastor William Ronoh whom after explaining my situation, he prayed for me and I changed. I would also like to seek forgiveness from the community and plead with them to accept me as one of them as I will never again go back to the darkness," said Momanyi.
Some of the villagers said that they had forgiven him while others demanded that he names those he has been working with before he is accepted back into the community.
Pst. Rono on his part said more locals involved in the vice will come out to confess while those who will opt to continue will face the wrath of God.
