Former Jubilee party interim vice-chairperson David Murathe has argued that voters would reject DP Ruto in 2022 because of his selfish ambitions.
Murathe opined that the Deputy President is not going to succeed in his quest for the presidency in Kenya.
The former Gatanga legislator noted that Ruto is not ready to sacrifice his personal welfare for the sake of serving poor Kenyans.
He noted that the citizens know that the country cannot achieve its prosperity dream if Ruto becomes the head of state in 2022.
"The reason why Kenyans will not support William Ruto for the top seat is because the chap is not ready to sacrifice his personal interest to prosper this country," read part of his Tuesday's Facebook post.
Ruto's fierce critic further observed that, according to the Deputy President, leadership is an opportunity for self-enrichment and enjoyment of power with shameless disregard of Kenyans needs.
"He pursues leadership for wealth and power only," Murathe posted.
The vocal politician advised that Kenyans hate leaders with a profile similar to that of Ruto, hence, they would make a decision to elect somebody else with an admirable character.
After 2017 general elections, Murathe has been leading an onslaught against Ruto, terming him the country's enemy due to his tainted image over corruption scandals and other negative issues associated with him.
Murathe vowed to fight him by all means.
