Three governors from the North Rift region will be appearing before the Senate Public Accounts committee during the inaugural 'Senate Mashinani' scheduled for Eldoret town later this month.

The three county bosses will be appearing before the committee to answer to various audit queries.

67 Senators are scheduled to move their business to Eldoret town from 24th-28th this month where they will hold their plenary sessions and committee meetings at the Uasin Gishu County Assembly.

According to a nominated Petronila Were Lokorio, the three governors that will be grilled include Uasin Gishu's Jackson Mandago, Stephen Sang (Nandi) and Stanly Kiptis of Baringo.

"There will be Public Accounts Committee sessions where counties will be explaining how they have used their funds and answer to several audit queries raised. First to face the committee with be Baringo county," said Senator Were in Eldoret town, Wednesday.

Mandago is scheduled to appear before the committee on Wednesday, September 26, to answer audit queries in relation to use of funds in the  2014/15 financial year.

Preparations to host the Senators in Eldoret are at the final stages with the County Assembly Speaker David Kiplagat where the sessions will be held saying they are ready for the historical event.

A team of the Senators led by the deputy majority leader Fatuma Adan Dullo visited the Assembly on Friday and expressed satisfaction with the preparations.

"We said as Senators we will use what is available on the ground and we are happy that Uasin Gishu Assembly is ready to host us," she said.

During the one week stay, members of the public will be allowed to witness the Senators conduct their business. 

Host Senator Margret Kamar further said the Senators will have two public participation forums in Eldoret town.
