Gilgil Member of Parliament Martha Wangari has lost her bid to be enjoined in the murder case of Dutch billionaire Tob Cohen.
High Court Judge Daniel Ogembo on Friday dismissed her application noting that she is not part of the case.
This comes after her estranged partner Peter Karanja had applied for bail stating that he has a home in Gilgil.
However, the MP, through her lawyer George Kimani, told the court that Karanja doesn't have a fixed home in Gilgil as he had indicated in his pre-bail application.
She noted that the house that Karanja was referring to belonged to her, and asked the court not to release him on grounds that he has a house in Gilgil.
Wangari had asked the court to include her in the case but the prosecution objected her application noting that she is a stranger in the case's proceedings.
The prosecution noted that the case is about murder and not a divorce or land case.
The MP trough her lawyer argued that she only wanted to know of their marital status with Karanja and the status of the house in his applications.
"We are here to tell the court that the house belongs to my client," Kimani told the court as quoted by The Star.
On his part, Karanja insisted that the house is his and that Wangari is only seeking his eviction.
