African Union High Representative on Infrastructure Development Raila Odinga has run short of ideas, Deputy President William Ruto has said.
While addressing Ganze residents at Juhudi Primary School in Kilifi County on Saturday, Ruto questioned why Raila organised a meeting to discuss the conduct of Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa.
The second in command dared Raila to face men who were opposed to his leadership style and not women.
He insisted that the ODM leader is out to finish Jumwa because he feels threatened.
The second in command also said that Raila has been sowing seeds of hatred among Kenyans because of his selfish interests.
He insisted that the Nyanza political kingpin is only using the handshake to advance his agenda as he seeks to rise to power after Uhuru completes his second and final term in office.
“Wewe ni mwanaume wa kiasi gani? Eti wewe unaenda kapanga mkutano wa kuhangaisha mama. Wewe ni mwanaume bure kabisa,” which loosely translates to ‘Which kind of man are you. You organise a meeting to frustrate a woman. You are a useless man’.
Ruto also said that Raila doesn’t care about the unity of this nation.
He claimed that the former Prime Minister has been busy struggling to divide the nation.
"If we mean uniting Kenyans, then our talk must be in line with your actions. You cannot claim that you are uniting Kenyans while… you are busy dividing them!” said agitated Ruto.
