This motivated Emmanuel Maganga popularly known as Alter, a 23-year-old third-year student at Moi University, to start the Alter Empire that now runs 28 businesses.

Back in 2014, the young entrepreneur had a project that he needed financial support which, unfortunately, he was unable to get. However, he believed that his project was going to be a game changer and decided to start a Game Zone and Play Station business.

The Empire came in when he started managing a chain of businesses mainly ranging from Event Organizing, Gaming hubs and Mobile App. Lately, the Empire is investing on the Entertainment in Eldoret.

“I have 28 different businesses running. The latest was when I decided to invest in the entertainment sector which has been hectic but am managing the end of the bargain,” said Alter. 

The now a million investment empire is mainly meant to nature the business capabilities of the youths and also to provide support to the girl child in the community.

“I nurture students' business capabilities, invest in their idea and business. at the end of the day, I have a fellow student earning and studying. Currently, I am doing a program of empowering girl child in the community and I confirm that I am to offer financial support to the lady who vied for the Moi University presidential seat,” he added.

Through this business Empire, Maganga alias Alter says he learns to keep his money circulating by investing in youths instead of saving in a bank. 

However, Alter declined to quote his daily earning to protect the secrecy and the security of the businesses.

Challenges are also part of the success and it is always not easy for him to balance academics and the business. Sometimes he is keeps his real name from the world due to the business and the classes.
