Deported politician Miguna Miguna has sent a message to Ugandan MP Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine following his arrest and alleged torture.
This is after it emerged that Kyagulanyi has sustained injuries while in custody at a military base.
The Ugandan musician-turned-politician was detained incommunicado for almost a week and has been moving through different military camps.'
On Thursday, Bobi Wine was charged at a military court with being in possession of illegal firearms.
Through his Twitter account, Miguna stated that NRM Kenya will stand with Ugandan revolutionaries led by opposition leader Kiza Besigye and Kyagulanyi.
"Mr. @kizzabesigye1, greetings from forced exile. The NRMKe and I stand in solidarity with all the Ugandan freedom fighters like @HEBobiwine, Francis Zaake and others facing torture and murder by Tyrant Museveni. Let's remove the tyrants from power. Avoid pressures. Viva!," tweeted Miguna.
Miguna was responding to tweet by Besigye urging the government to observe human rights.
@kizzabesigye1It is such acts of gross violation of Human Rights with impunity that forced me to join the bush war in 1982!We shall address the press on this tomorrow. It's us, Ugandans, to end this! ," tweeted Museveni.
Earlier in the week, Museveni had accused Bobi Wine of stoning his vehicle during a campaign rally in Arua Municipality.
