An elected MP from Gusii region has faulted interdiction of 41 teachers who allegedly sabotaged training of competence-based curriculum.
South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro said the interdicted teachers should be reinstated immediately.
The legislator said Teachers Service Commission should stop intimidating and blackmailing teachers.
"TSC should be serious and stop taking teachers for granted. There is no way someone can wake up and send home 41 teachers who have families to feed and pay school fees to sons and daughters. The interdicted 41 teachers from Kisii should be reinstated," he said.
He said 'this is not time teachers should be blackmailed around given their hard work'.
Osoro maintained that affected teachers should be accorded respect, adding that they should not be forced to attend the training.
"TSC should stop forcing teachers to attended unnecessary training. The teachers should be given humble time to teach the children and prepare them for the national exams," he stated.
He was speaking on Wednesday when he launched to construction of a vocational training at Marongo area in Botabori in his constituency.
