Most computer and phone users love watching videos on YouTube, but only a few can manage to download and watch them later when they are offline.
Watching directly on the site might be prudent especially when your device has limited space, but for other reasons, you might want to save the clip.
The following tricks can help you save a video from YouTube site using your phone or computer.
1. Save from net
This is a platform used to save videos for offline watching easily.
You only need to open YouTube site, search the video you need and play it.
In the address bar, insert “ss” between the dot and YouTube in the URL of the clip as illustrated below, then press Enter.
It will direct you to a page with a download box for your video.
2. Install Tubemate
Install Tubemate YouTube downloader application on your phone.
Note that this application is never found in the Google Play store, and that means you will search it directly from other phone browsers.
Once installed, just search for your favourite video, click it then tap on the red download icon. It will bring you various download formats to choose from.
3. Use an online video converter
This can work with both an android phone and a laptop. Just open your browser and search for “online video converter”.
Open the site then click on the "convert URL". Paste your YouTube video URL in the address bar, chose the mp4 format, then click convert. The site will direct you to a download section for your video.
