A middle aged woman has gone into hiding after she allegedly assaulted her husband for being adulterous.
The incident happened on Thursday in Nyabogoye, Nyamira County.
Residents claimed that Eunice Moraa attacked her husband Richard Osuro on grounds that he has been seeing other women.
"Moraa picked a quarrel with Osuro after she found him standing with a woman by the roadside. Osuro kept mum as his angry wife shouted at him," argued Paul Oroo.
Mr Oroo said Moraa clobbered Osuro with a wooden block immediately he entered the house.
"Angered Moraa picked a wooden block which she used to hit her husband. Osuro screamed for help from neighbors as the suspect escaped into a nearby maize farm," said Oroo.
Area assistant chief Moseti Okioma said the couple has been having a troubled marriage.
"This is not the first time Moraa was attacking her husband. It seems the husband is also adulterous," said the chief.
Mr Okioma said neighbors rushed the victim to Nyamira hospital for treatment following the injuries he sustained.
"A manhunt for the woman has commenced. She must be arrested to be charged over assault," he added.
