This means Kenyans will have to pay more for various services. For instance, employed workers will be deducted 1.5% of their income while airtime and data will attract new charges among other services.

1. Turn your car into an Uber. This will help you earn an extra coin that you could have wasted on the overtaxed fuel.

2. Switch off lights when using your TV screen. 

3. Avoid going out for dinners. Stay at home and exercise. Bora Uhai.

4. Avoid sending money plus “ya kutoa.”

5. Carry food to place of work to avoid the high priced foods from Kiosk people.

6. Always gamble. Someday luck will knock at your doors and become a millionaire. 

7. Avoid visiting people who want money from you. This will help you save a lot. 

8. Relocate to cheaper places. Opt for good houses that you will manage to pay rent while still paying taxes. 

9. If you want to marry, get someone you will manage to feed. Skinny spouses are the best. 

10. If you are broke, don’t buy food on loan, fast and pray that tomorrow you will eat something. 

11. Minimizing on the times you take a shower. This will save on the water bill. 

12. Get your children to public schools where school fees is “free.”
