Up to 30 detectives from the Director of Criminal Investigators have been dispatched to hunt down suspects involved in the Sh1.1 billion tender scandal at the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF).

DCI boss George Kinoti said the special team of officers is out to hunt at least 17 senior officials of the national medical fund whose phones have remained switched off since Friday when he struck at the heart of the scandal.
