Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Nominated Senator Rose Nyamunga now says that the party must strive to regain its footing across the country for future prosperity.
Speaking on Sunday, the former Kisumu Woman Representative noted with concern that the party must reassure its members of credible primaries in the future.
She termed this the only way the opposition leader Raila Odinga-led party will once again regain the trust it once had in its millions of supporters across the nation.
She expressed her satisfaction with the ongoing attempts to correct the situation within the party currently, vowing to lend a hand in realizing the goal.
"One of the issues ODM must look into is the party primaries. The confidence of our people must be restored by ensuring that the party holds credible nominations," she said.
"I am happy with the steps the party is undertaking to guarantee millions of her supporters that their interest will be respected. As a member of the party, I will ensure that ODM primaries leave us more united than divided," she added.
The party National Executive Council on Monday last week received an internal audit report that enlisted poor primaries and top leaders' interference among the reasons behind its dwindling popularity.
Speaking in Nyatike, Migori county, on Friday, party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna and National Chair John Mbadi promised the party supporters that the issues will be addressed.
