A woman shocked villagers at Keroka township in Nyamira County on Tuesday after she stormed her son's single-roomed rental house and urinated on his bed.
Neighbors said the woman identified as Moraa, who hawks ripe bananas in Keroka town got angered after her son, Tobias Mogeni married a woman, Divinah who has been working in a bar.
"Moraa didn't like her son's decision to marry bar attendant. She urinated on her son's bed to chase the woman away," said a witness Teresa Nyabaro.
Mrs. Nyabaro said Mogeni was not in his house when her mother urinated on his bed.
"Divinah was alone in the house when Moraa stormed and ordered her out of the house. After urinating on bed, she locked the house and threatened to set it on fire if her son will not listen to her," she added.
Area local administrator, Dismas Nyang'au said it is an abomination for the woman urinate on the same bed her son has been sleeping.
"It is shameful for Moraa to urinate on her son's bed. She could have used peaceful means to have her son separate with Divinah," said Nyang'au.
He warned parents against choosing wives for their sons saying they may end up forcing them to marry bad women.
When contacted for a comment, Mogeni denied to speak on the matter but, promised to give further details later.
