Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior has hit out at Tourism Cabinet Secretary (CS) Najib Balala over his 'go to hell' remark in relation to the death of eleven rhinos two weeks ago.
The Senator says that Balala must apologise to Kenyans over his remarks.
He says that the Tourism CS disrespected Kenyans and the presidency by using 'go to hell remark' on a serious issue relating the rhino's death.
"It is shameful for the CS to use such despicable words when Kenyans are concerned about the death of the rhinos," he said.
Mutula Junior maintained that CS Balala has to take responsibility and resign over the rhinos deaths.
He said that Balala's move to suspend top KWS officials over the issue is not enough.
"The CS should have resigned a long time ago and there should be no debate about that," the Makueni Senator told journalists at the Parliament buildings in Nairobi on Monday.
Balala has been on the spot over the deaths of the eleven rhinos.
Last week, the CS suspended six KWS top officials who he said failed in their duties leading to the deaths of the rhinos at Tsavo East Park.
A report by the government revealed that the rhinos died as a result of taking saline water.
