Some 12 swimmers have been selected to represent Machakos County in the national swimming championship in February.The junior swimmers were selected during the Machakos Swimming Gala which was held at Kangundo Junior Aquatic Park.They will be competing to win gold medals where the leading team will top the standings in terms of points.Some of the winners selected include Catherine Musembi, Philip Maweu, Simon Mutave, Martha Mulekyo among others.The championship will be held at Makini school in Nairobi where winners in various categories will represent Kenya in Dubai International Championship.Machakos team had the majority of its swimmers selected to represent Kenya in the Winter Sizzler Championship last year where Kenya finished on the fourth position.
