A social media user has caused a stir online after he wrote a hilarious proposal to telecommunications giant Safaricom on how he intended to clear his pending loan.
The Facebook user identified as Nick Njacy took on the platform full of ridiculous suggestions on how he intended to clear his Mshwari loan.
The paperless mobile banking product has been available to M-Pesa customers for years now.
The product is gaining popularity because of its simplicity.
Njacy considered repaying his due loan with two sacks of potatoes arguing that he comes from Kinangop, an area which is popularly known for growing potatoes.
He further said that upon gathering intelligence, the network provider had an eatery joint at their offices and this would do well in preparing fries.
"I have 2 sacks of potatoes which are just sleeping (read lying) in the house. I have gathered intelligence and know that you have a cafeteria at your offices. I was thinking we can have a consensus, that is, I drop the potatoes at your office cafeteria, you make chips and stew and credit the proceeds in my MSHWARI loan account," reads part of Njacy's post.
The Facebook user further noted Safaricom should acknowledge his proposal because he had them in mind considering that he had other loans from other providers who he had put on hold.
"At least I am thinking about you and if your answer is NO, then you might have to wait longer. I have given you first priority, because you are the bitter option," he said hilariously
