The County boss said the county has invested a lot of funds in purchasing drugs which should be given for free to residents seeking medical services at public health centers.

"Medics who will steal public drugs and stock them in their private clinics must know their days are numbers. Public drugs should be given out for free to patients and not diverting the drugs to private clinics," he said.

He said he will not allow anyone to taint his name by stealing public drugs.

Ongwae assured that investigation is ongoing over the allegations that there is drugs theft at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital.

"We have security guards at KTRH who should ensure no drugs are sneaked out by medics. CCTV cameras will be used to nab doctors and nurses behind the drugs theft," he added.

The ODM governor urged locals to visit public health centers across the county to seek medical attention.
