The Tarakwa Member of the Uasin Gishu County Assembly (MCA) Patrick Bundotich has further advised the MP against vying for the gubernatorial seat in 2022.

Speaking during a public function at Tarakwa chief’s office in the constituency on Tuesday, Bundotich said Mishra had delivered his promises within his first few months in office compared to what his predecessors did for years.

“You have been around for only months but I can tell you that you have done more than what those who were in the same positions for years did,” the two-time MCA said in a function that the MP was present.

“As things stand, you will remain the electorate’s first choice for as long as you wish,” he added.

Mishra who is serving his first term in office was elected against all odds, having floored his opponents on his way to a landslide win.

When he first declared his interest for the seat, many local pundits dismissed him, on the basis of him being a ‘foreigner’.

However for a few months only in the office, his stellar performance has earned him admiration and even suggestions that he should go for the county’s top seat in 2022, an idea the MCA is against.

“Don’t go for the governorship, we will remain orphans. Stay around for a few more years,” said Bundotich.
