Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has rubbished media reports that his Tuesday State House visit was about 2022 succession politics.
Kalonzo said he did not discuss any politics with President Uhuru Kenyatta as reported in a section of the media.
According to the former Vice President, the State House visit was all about Ukambani development.
“It is malicious for the media to claim that the meeting with the President was about 2022 politics,” Kalonzo said.
Kalonzo addressed the press in Nairobi on Friday.
He said it is too early to debate on the 2022 general election.
Kalonzo said the focus should be on uniting the country and not about 2022.
“There is so much that needs to be done in terms of reconciling Kenyans and everything should not be equated to be about 2022 politics,” he added.
Kalonzo led a delegation of over 30 Ukambani politicians to State House on Tuesday.
The former Vice President is among the top politicians who have declared their interests in 2022 presidential poll.
Kalonzo has maintained that his 2022 presidential bid is unstoppable.
